Throughout the history of mankind one thing has been consistent. That one thing is change. Change in the way we live, work, and the way we entertain ourselves. From stories told around fires or during journeys, to live performances of dramatic plays and musical concerts, to comedians, dancers, singers and musicians of vaudeville. How we find entertainment is a constantly evolving process just like everything else in life.

One of the most impactful changes in entertainment occurred with the event of film and television. And from the very first frame of film that was recorded to the development of the home theater, the film and television industry itself is in a constant metamorphosis.

This constant transformation has brought us innumerable moments that create emotion, move the soul, and produce classics that will live on forever. And at the heart of all this progress is the talent, creativity, and vision of a voluminous number of great people.

While the advancements of technology has paved the way for more and more people with a desire to enter the realm of this creative art of storytelling to do so, with tools that at one time where not available to the average person, we feel that there is so much more progress that can be made to democratize the process to allow even more people with a desire to create the next great moments in this never ending expedition.

Today it does not take a camera that carries the price tag of a house, or editing equipment that required meticulous attention to detail, and a significant investment of time and space. But while it is easier than ever, it does still take resources.

Fortunately, the film industry is not the only thing that constantly advances. Life is about change. You are either falling behind or moving forward. So, while the creative arts have evolved, so has finance, transportation, energy, and everything else that is part of our present-day life.

One thing that is in our present-day life with the potential of changing things as profoundly as any development since the founding of the United States of America is the blockchain.

The concept of blockchain evolved over three decades, starting with cryptographic research in the 1980s, advancing through digital timestamping and proof-of-work mechanisms in the 1990s and 2000s, and culminating with the launch of Bitcoin in 2009, which unified these innovations into the first practical, decentralized blockchain system.

The blockchain is in its infancy, and its potential usefulness to transform how so many things are done is only beginning to be realized.

This project, TCB MovieCoin, looks to take the potential of the blockchain and marry it with the desire of those that want to contribute to the next chapter of filmed entertainment.

This project aims to bring together the creative minds of visual storytellers, with the aspirations of the blockchain to democratize opportunity and open it up to all that want to be a part of the next chapter.

This project is a proof of concept. It will endeavor to lay out the groundwork that will be refined as we go from micro productions to low budget, then mid budget and beyond.

It will thoroughly examine what the best level one blockchain is available to provide decentralization, security, ease of use, infrastructure and value to accomplish our objective.

It will lay out the mechanism for people to participate, in backing film, streaming, and television projects that they like and believe in. It will not guarantee financial success, but it will guarantee that these projects will be completed and marketed. It will provide assurance that backers of projects that are financially successful will participate in that success financially and that they will be rewarded. It will be transparent by use of the blockchain and will provide a permanent record of its activities.

It will develop strong relationships with the independent film community that will always be maintained, while building a bridge to the established Hollywood entertainment apparatus.
 
It will be a creative space that will allow those who want to participate to do so in a responsible way with accountability.

It will synergize the developments of the blockchain, with the advancements of ever-changing production tools, and the nurturing of personal human connections.

The Script – First Draft

As with any building the key is to start with the proper foundation. The heart of this will be the community’s utility token, TCB MovieCoin. The TCB MovieCoin token will be the life blood providing transparency, and a turnkey mechanism to participate in projects and be rewarded on their success. The introduction of this token will be by a multi-phase presale event that will handsomely reward early adopters.

The first phase will raise the capital for legal fees, business formation, and marketing cost for the second phase. In this phase the purchase price will be the lowest, but with the longest lock-up (See Tokenomics).

The second phase will raise the capital in a multi batch sale to finish putting together the team, for smart contract development and to establish the workflow that will take film and television projects from concept to funding and on to completion and distribution. This initial workflow will be the core system that will be implemented, analyzed, and fine-tuned as we go from small projects and then move to medium projects, and of course the ultimate goal to be able to facilitate any project no matter how large.

As we move towards larger and larger projects, we will always nurture all projects. It is our intention to never ignore our mission of allowing an onramp for new talent to start small and work their way up as they prove they have the capacity to do so. This workflow will be written and coded to provide ease of use on the front end while being robust on the backend providing security, reliability, and consistency.

One of the things planned along those lines is a yearly short film competition. Projects will be submitted. The community will vote. The winning short will be produced and financed by TCB MovieCoin. We also plan the same for one ultra-low budget feature film per year.

The Launch

As we move forward in this process, we will end our presale and launch on several decentralized exchanges with the ultimate goal of securing as many tier-1 centralized exchanges that we feel benefit the project. Moving into the mainstream conversation both in the blockchain world in addition to the entertainment business. We will provide proper liquidity so that people can cash out any profit participation for real money.

We will create unique ways for people to participate and forge partnerships and synergies with film festivals, streaming services, distribution companies, and entertainment guilds.

Just as television changed theatrical film, and streaming changed both of those, not to replace one another, but to add to our choices and ways to be entertained, we aim to take our place in the next transformation that will enhance society’s quest for entertainment.

It is this philosophy that is the heart of this blockchain project.
